Alternative dispute resolution (SAL)
SAL is the Romanian term for alternative dispute resolution (ADR): an out-of-court process, free or low-cost, in which an independent body helps you and the trader reach a solution without going to court. It is governed by Government Ordinance (OG) no. 38/2015 on alternative dispute resolution for consumers.

About the ODR platform
ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, was discontinued on July 20, 2025,
under Regulation (EU) 2024/3228. The requirement for traders to link to it
was removed at the same time.
Many Romanian online stores, including some in our field, still display this link. It no longer works. The right channels are ANPC and the SAL bodies listed above.
